Harvard

Harvard, like Groton, has seen a substantial uptick in home values over the last 10 years. With its small population and rural character, Harvard offers many of the same amenities as the other small towns in our service area, but with the added benefit of competitive home prices. The town’s Bromfield School for grades 6 through 12 is rated highly - second only to Acton/Boxborough among the towns we serve. Harvard also has a unique quality all its own. Early in its history, Harvard attracted both Shakers and Transcendentalists who sought to establish utopian communities. With apple orchards adorning sloping hills, you can see how these settlers imagined they’d found their perfect place. Make a visit to the Fruitlands Museum, home to the young Louisa May Alcott, who was inspired to write Little Women, in part from her time in Harvard.
